Bishop
Bishop James is an effective communicator of God’s Word and is known for his practical and energetic teaching style which helps people apply the living active word of God to their everyday lives. He is a humble and gifted servant whose goal is to do the will of God. In 2005 he met his mentor, Apostle Devin Park, through this chance meeting, and under his teaching, Bishop James received his formal training and call to ministry.
Apostle Park recognized and nurtured the anointing and calling upon his life early in their relationship, and appointed Bishop James to various positions within the church. After being involved in various leadership positions throughout the years, Bishop James was prepared to embrace lost souls and minister to the whole individual regardless of challenges or limitations.
Under the guidance of Apostle Park, Bishop James and his wife spearheaded youth services at the Carver Center in Norristown. With unwavering dedication, they ensured no youth was turned away each week. Their influence went beyond spiritual guidance, nourishing not just the souls of Norristown youth, but also their bodies by feeding over 150 weekly.
In 2006 he was licensed as a minister and ordained as a Pastor in 2008, then consecrated as Bishop in 2011, under the Council of Bishops and Pastors, Freedom Worldwide. Bishop James and his wife were then led to start a bible study from their living room, where they endeavored to raise up a generation of people with the mind of Christ, who will go into all the world preaching the good news of Jesus.
The bible study became “Change Your Route Ministries International.” Bishop James' ultimate desire is to see people fully embrace God’s love, walk in victory, and power while experiencing the fullness of God’s promises. He is supported in the Ministry by his wife, Lisa Keys- Johnson and his beautiful children and grandchildren.
